Main Indicators of the Development of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of the Republic of Uzbekistan in January-June 2021
In January-June 2021, the total volume of products (services) in agriculture, forestry and fisheries amounted to 116.6 trillion soums, including in crop production and livestock, hunting and provision of services in these areas - 113.1 trillion soums, forestry - 2.9 trillion soums, fisheries - 0.6 trillion soums. At the same time, the growth rates of products (services) in agriculture, forestry and fisheries, compared to the corresponding period of 2020, amounted to 101.8%.
In the context of regions, in January-June 2021, the largest volumes of products (services) in agriculture, forestry and fisheries were observed in Samarkand (12.9 trillion soums), Tashkent (12.7 trillion soums) and Andijan (12.0 trillion soums) regions, at the same time, low volumes were observed in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (3.3 trillion soums), Syrdarya (3.6 trillion soums) and Navoi (5.7 trillion soums) regions.
In January-June 2021, 4 724 thousand tons of grain were produced (the growth rate compared to the same period in 2020 was 91.5%), 3 174.9 thousand tons of vegetables (104.4%), 1 543.8 thousand tons of potatoes (103.5%), 211.9 thousand tons of melons (103.3%), 938.6 thousand tons of fruits and berries (92%), 45 497 tons of grapes (105.1%).
The implementation of measures to further increase the potential of the livestock industry contributed to the growth of livestock, saturation of the domestic consumer market with livestock products. In January-June 2021, 1 191.5 thousand tons of meat in live weight (the growth rate was 104.4% compared to January-June 2020), 5 065.5 thousand tons of milk (104.5%), 3 399.6 million eggs (100.1%) were produced, 37 191 tons of fish were caught (109.9%).
