Speaker: Saydaliev Hayot Berk, is currently an Associate Professor and a coordinator of research at Kazakh-British Technical University. He holds a Ph.D. in Financial Economics from the Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia. Dr. Saydaliev has published in SSI journals like Economic Research-Ekonomska Istraživanja (Q2), Global Economy Journal (Q3), and several others. Most of his published papers utilize panel estimation methods and time series analysis to address issues in development economics, institutional quality, human capital, and health.

The main purpose of the paper is to empirically investigate the trade-offs between health and economic outcomes of the lockdown.
