Speaker:  Abror Gafurov is currently coordinating the "Water in Central Asia" project in the frame of the Green Central Asia Program, initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany. Moreover, he is involved in projects of World Bank Group and other international organizations on Climate Change and Water Resources.  He holds a Ph.D. in hydrology from Stuttgart University, Germany. Dr. Gafurov has published more than 20 peer-reviewed publications in SCOPUS journals . His papers are mainly dedicated to understanding water cycle and climate impact assessment on water resources in Central Asia. Abror Gafurov is also a lecturer at the Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany.
